At the S.T.A.R. Center, our mission is to provide immediate access to high-quality psychiatric care, medication-assisted treatment, crisis intervention, and linkage to ongoing support services to individuals in need.

Treatment Is Available With or Without Insurance

We accept Medicaid and most major commercial insurance plans. Eligible uninsured individuals may also receive county-funded treatment through our contracted centers.

Comprehensive Services

Psychiatric Care

Our team of experienced psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and mental health professionals offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management to address a wide range of mental health concerns.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

We provide evidence-based medication-assisted treatment for individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including opioid addiction. Our MAT program combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and support services to help individuals achieve and sustain recovery.

Wound Care

In addition to addressing mental health and substance use concerns, we recognize the importance of holistic care. Our medical staff provides wound care services to address physical injuries and promote healing for individuals in crisis.

Level of Care Assessments

Our licensed clinicians conduct thorough assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for each individual’s unique needs. We ensure that individuals are connected with the most suitable treatment options.

Treatment Linkage and Placement

We facilitate seamless transitions to ongoing treatment and support services by connecting individuals with community-based resources, inpatient providers, outpatient providers, support groups, and other essential services. Our goal is to empower individuals to continue their journey toward recovery beyond their initial crisis.

Accessibility

The S.T.A.R. Center is conveniently located and easily accessible by public transportation. The STAR Center helps individuals and families navigate the complex behavioral health system by removing barriers and increasing access to care. Our center is located at 2200 Providence Ave Chester, 19013 and 25 Garrett Rd, Upper Darby, 19032.
