Medicated Assisted Treatment Services

Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a proven approach for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder. At MVP Recovery, we offer a range of medication options, including Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol, to support our clients on their path to recovery.

Methadone maintenance therapy is a cornerstone of Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals diagnosed with opioid use disorder. At MVP Recovery, we understand the complex nature of opioid addiction and the importance of providing comprehensive support to those seeking recovery.

What is Methadone Maintenance?

Methadone is a long-acting opioid agonist medication that helps reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in individuals with opioid dependence. When taken as prescribed under medical supervision, methadone can stabilize brain chemistry and alleviate the physical discomfort associated with opioid withdrawal.

Suboxone (Buprenorphine/Naloxone)

Suboxone is a combination medication containing buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist that helps reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, while naloxone helps prevent misuse by blocking the effects of opioids. Suboxone is typically administered as a sublingual film or tablet and is used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to support long-term recovery.

Sublocade (Extended-Release Buprenorphine)

Sublocade is an extended-release injectable form of buprenorphine that is administered once monthly. This formulation provides a steady dose of medication, reducing the need for daily dosing and helping individuals maintain stability in their recovery. Sublocade is a convenient option for clients who prefer less frequent medication administration and offers a discreet and effective way to manage opioid dependence.

Vivitrol (Naltrexone)

Vivitrol is a long-acting injectable form of naltrexone, an opioid antagonist medication. Unlike buprenorphine-based medications, Vivitrol does not contain opioids and works by blocking the effects of opioids in the brain. Vivitrol is typically administered once monthly and is used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to support individuals in maintaining abstinence from opioids.

Holistic Recovery Support

At MVP Recovery, we recognize that recovery involves more than just addressing physical dependence on opioids. Our MAT Program is integrated into a comprehensive treatment approach that addresses the four components of recovery: Health, Home, Purpose, and Community. Clients in our program have access to therapy, counseling sessions, and peer support groups to enhance their overall well-being and promote sustainable recovery.

Participation in Therapy and Counseling

Participation in recommended therapy and counseling sessions is a critical component of our MAT Program. Our clinical team works closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address underlying issues contributing to opioid dependence and support long-term recovery goals.

Commitment to Long-Term Recovery

While MAT can be a valuable tool in managing opioid dependence, it is essential that clients engage in recommended therapy, counseling sessions, and recovery supports to achieve lasting recovery.
