I will be forever thankful for the team that helped me turn my life around.
MVP has so much to offer. When I was down and out at my rock bottom, I went to MVP sober living, and was in the PHP, IOP, OP, and individuals. I had the best counselor and my experience was life changing. I now have 3 years sober. MVP helped me learn about myself and change my behaviors.

What Life in MVP Recovery Housing Looks Like
Life at MVP combines clear expectations with room to keep moving forward in your everyday life. Here’s what you can expect while living in one of our recovery homes.
A Three-Phase Program Built for Long-Term Stability
MVP’s three-phase program gradually introduces greater responsibility and independence as you progress. Successful completion typically takes 9–12 months, giving residents time to build routines and prepare for life after recovery housing.
A Structured, Substance-Free Living Environment
Clear house expectations and consistent routines help maintain a safe, substance-free environment.
Regular Drug Testing and Accountability
Residents participate in regular drug testing to help maintain the safety and integrity of the recovery home.
Counseling and 12-Step Participation
Residents participate in outside professional counseling and regular 12-Step meetings while living at MVP.
Work, School, and Employment Support
Residents are encouraged to work, continue their education, or pursue employment goals while living at MVP, with resources available when you need them.
Peer Support and Community
Living alongside people working toward similar goals creates opportunities for connection, encouragement, and shared accountability.
Is Sober Living Right for Your Recovery?
Sober living may be a good fit if you are ready for more independence but still want structure, accountability, and a supportive place to live.
Recovery housing may be right for you If you:
- Want a substance-free living environment
- Are transitioning from inpatient treatment or another structured level of care
- Want to stay connected to counseling, IOP, MAT, or other services
- Are working, attending school, or preparing to return to either
- Would benefit from peer support and clear house expectations
- Want more time to develop routines before living independently
A different level of care may be needed if you:
- Need medical detox or 24-hour medical supervision
- Need medical support for active or severe withdrawal symptoms
- Need inpatient psychiatric or addiction treatment
- Require more clinical support than recovery housing provides
If sober living is not the right level of support, MVP can help connect you with treatment or services that better match your needs.

What Residents Like You Want to Know Before Moving In
Do I need to be sober before moving into recovery housing?
MVP recovery homes are substance-free living environments and are not a substitute for medical detox.
If you are currently using substances, experiencing withdrawal symptoms, or are unsure whether recovery housing is the right next step, contact MVP. Our team can help determine the appropriate level of care before placement.
What happens if I have a setback while living at MVP?
A return to substance use is taken seriously because maintaining a safe, substance-free environment is important for everyone living in the home.
What happens next can depend on your circumstances, safety needs, and program requirements. Our team can explain MVP’s policies during intake so you know what to expect before moving in.
Can I take prescribed medications while living in recovery housing?
MVP supports residents receiving medication-assisted treatment through its Medication Supported Recovery program.
If you take other prescribed medications, discuss them with the intake team before moving in. They can explain medication policies and make sure your needs can be appropriately supported.
What happens if I don’t have a job when I move in?
You do not have to figure out employment on your own. MVP provides employment and educational resources, including support with resumes, job placement, and developing practical skills that can help you work toward your next goal.
Are there house rules I’ll need to follow?
Yes. Recovery housing includes clear expectations designed to maintain a safe, substance-free environment and support everyone living in the home.
Your team will review house rules, responsibilities, meeting requirements, drug testing, and other expectations with you before or during move-in.
What should I bring when moving into recovery housing?
Your intake team will provide guidance based on your specific placement, including what is allowed in the home and what you should bring with you.
If you have questions about clothing, personal items, medications, or anything else, ask before move-in so you can arrive prepared.
